Behind the Scenes- Father's Day Shoot

I am loving this weekly link up hosted by Crystal Stine! Every week we pick a picture and then tell the story behind it. The good, the bad, and the ugly of it. So this week I am posting pictures from our Father's Day photoshoot. So here is one where they are definitely not all doing what I asked.
It took these boys FOREVER to get ready for this very quick little photo shoot. They were in the bathroom trying to spike their hair instead of brushing it. I tried to get them all to wear one of John's ties but that didn't happen. And all the living room furniture is moved to the middle of the room and everything that happened to be on the floor swept into a pile in the corner. And since this picture is not edited yet you can see where we haven't finished the living room floor yet as well as outlet covers that I dislike but have not replaced yet. And those faces that kept coming up in the photos were priceless. Next time we will definitely be more prepared!

  1. Oh, this made me smile today. :) I've got a three year-old who is pretty anti-picture-taking and so getting her to actually look at the camera and smile...doesn't happen very often. Thanks for this! Happy Tuesday to you! :)

  2. I have lots of these types of photos - I call them "The Wrangling" - trying to coral busy and on-to-the-next-thing-kids is HARD!!! But what a precious picture with all of them smiling...

  3. This is so funny. With my two I used to proimse them that if they would do one good picture for me we would do two or three funny ones. Now that they are grown our Easter and Christmas pictures are usally one good and one silly. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week !!!

  4. Love it!! I know how that is - trying to get a good shot. I have three that like to aggravate each other or make silly faces. :-) I think the real ones are the best!!

  7. They're so cute, even in the "out-takes!" I love the idea behind your photo shoot - to be honest, when I did things like this with Madi when she was really little, I would post the 20 best on Facebook, after deleting the other 80 that looked a hot mess ;)
